Ben Bradlee

Ben Bradlee was an American journalist and executive editor of The Washington Post from 1968 to 1991. He led the newsroom during its coverage of the Pentagon Papers and Watergate.

Watergate scandal: A political scandal involving the Nixon administration’s role in the 1972 break-in at Democratic Party headquarters and its cover-up. Bradlee backed the Post’s reporting that helped expose the scandal.
Katharine Graham: The publisher of The Washington Post who led the company from 1963 to 1991. Graham and Bradlee jointly guided the paper through its most consequential investigations.
