Berlin State Opera

The Berlin State Opera is an opera house and company on Unter den Linden in Berlin, founded in 1742 as the Royal Court Opera.

Frederick the Great: King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786, known for military expansion and patronage of the arts. He commissioned the original opera house as part of his vision for Berlin.
