Bibracte

Bibracte was a fortified settlement of the Aedui on Mont Beuvray in central Gaul. It was a major political and economic center in the first century BCE and is now an archaeological site.

Mont Beuvray: A mountain in Burgundy, France, that contains the archaeological remains of Bibracte. Bibracte occupied this summit and its surrounding slopes.
Aedui: A Celtic people of central Gaul who became allies and rivals of Rome during the Gallic Wars. They founded and governed Bibracte as their political center.
