Billy Mitchell

Billy Mitchell (1879–1936) was a United States Army officer who promoted an independent air force and demonstrated the potential of air power, including strategic bombing.

Hap Arnold: Henry H. “Hap” Arnold was a U.S. Army Air Forces general who helped build American air power during World War II. Arnold served under Mitchell and later led the air force Mitchell had urged the United States to create.
