Bird wing

A bird wing is a paired forelimb modified for flight or other functions, including swimming, display, and balance. Its bones, muscles, and feathers form a movable aerodynamic surface.

Flight feather: A stiff, asymmetrical feather that forms the wing’s aerodynamic surface or the tail’s steering surface. Remiges shape the wing surface, while their overlapping vanes help produce lift and control.
