Birgit Fischer

Birgit Fischer is a German sprint canoeist who won eight Olympic gold medals across six Games from 1980 to 2004, competing for both East and unified Germany.

1980 Summer Olympics: The Moscow Games, held from July 19 to August 3, 1980. Fischer won her first Olympic gold in the K-1 500 metres at these Games.
