Blue Note Records

Blue Note Records is an American jazz record label founded in 1939 by Alfred Lion and Francis Wolff. It became known for influential jazz recordings and striking album covers.

Alfred Lion: Alfred Lion was a German-born American record producer who co-founded Blue Note Records and guided its musical direction. His independent approach and close work with musicians established Blue Note’s early character.
