Boeing 787 Dreamliner

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-haul, twin-engine wide-body airliner distinguished by extensive carbon-fiber composite construction and fuel-efficient engines.

Carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer: A strong, lightweight material made from carbon fibers embedded in a polymer matrix. It forms much of the 787's primary structure, including its fuselage and wings.
High-bypass turbofan: A jet engine that propels most of its air around the engine core, improving propulsive efficiency at subsonic speeds. Both engines available for the 787 use high-bypass turbofan technology.
Boeing 7E7: The early program name for the aircraft that became the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The 7E7 proposal developed into the 787 after Boeing launched the program in 2003.
Long-haul flight: Commercial air travel over long distances, typically involving several hours of nonstop flight. The 787 was designed to serve long routes efficiently with a twin-engine aircraft.

Airbus A330neo: A re-engined version of Airbus's A330 wide-body airliner family. It offers airlines a newer-engine alternative to the 787 using an established airframe.
