Bonin Islands

The Bonin Islands, also called the Ogasawara Islands, are a Japanese archipelago in the northwestern Pacific, about 1,000 kilometers south of Tokyo. Their isolated subtropical ecosystems and history of settlement and strategic use distinguish them.
