Book of Numbers

The fourth book of the Hebrew Bible and Christian Old Testament recounts Israel’s journey from Mount Sinai toward the Promised Land. Its name reflects census lists included in the book.

Torah: The first five books of the Hebrew Bible, also called the Pentateuch. Numbers is the fourth book in this collection.
