Boron trioxide

Boron trioxide (B₂O₃) is an inorganic compound of boron and oxygen. It is a glass-forming oxide used in borate glasses and as a precursor to other boron compounds.

Boron–oxygen network: A connected arrangement of boron–oxygen polyhedra that forms the structure of boron-containing glasses and solids. B₂O₃ forms a glass from linked borate units rather than discrete molecules.
