Bosphorus Bridge

A suspension bridge across the Bosphorus in Istanbul, officially renamed the 15 July Martyrs Bridge in 2016. It links the European and Asian sides of the city.

Suspension bridge: A bridge whose deck is carried by vertical suspenders attached to main cables anchored at each end. The Bosphorus Bridge uses this structural form to span the strait.
