Brčko District

Brčko District is a self-governing administrative unit in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, jointly administered by the country’s two entities under international supervision. It has its own institutions and does not belong to either entity.

Brčko District Statute: The basic legal framework governing Brčko District’s institutions, powers, and administration. It defines the district’s self-governing institutions and their relationship to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Brčko arbitration: International arbitration over the status of the Brčko area after the Bosnian War. The arbitration resolved the dispute that prevented Brčko from being assigned to either entity.
