British Israelism

British Israelism is a belief that the British people, and sometimes other peoples of northwestern Europe, descend from the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. It is rejected by historians and geneticists as unsupported by evidence.

John Wilson: A Scottish writer whose 1840 book popularized the claim that the British descended from the Ten Lost Tribes. His writings helped establish British Israelism as a recognizable movement.
