Broad Peak

Broad Peak is an 8,051-meter mountain in the Karakoram on the China–Pakistan border. It is the world’s twelfth-highest peak.

Broad Peak first ascent: The 1957 expedition led by Marcus Schmuck and Fritz Wintersteller that first reached Broad Peak’s summit. This expedition made Broad Peak the first eight-thousander climbed without supplemental oxygen or high-altitude porters.
