Sultanate of Brunei

The Sultanate of Brunei is a Malay Muslim monarchy centered on northern Borneo. At its height, its rulers held influence across parts of maritime Southeast Asia.

Brunei: A country on the northern coast of Borneo, officially ruled as an Islamic sultanate. The modern state occupies the sultanate’s historic core on Borneo.
