Bukhara

Bukhara is a historic city in Uzbekistan whose preserved Islamic architecture reflects its long role as a center of Silk Road trade, scholarship, and religious life.

Po-i-Kalyan: A monumental religious complex in Bukhara centered on the Kalyan Minaret and adjoining mosque and madrasa. Its minaret and mosque form the city’s most recognizable architectural ensemble.
