Bülent Ecevit

Bülent Ecevit (1925–2006) was a Turkish politician, poet, and journalist who led the Republican People's Party and the Democratic Left Party and served four terms as prime minister.

Republican People's Party: A Turkish political party founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923. Ecevit rose through its ranks and led it from 1972 to 1980.
Prime Minister of Turkey: The head of government of Turkey under the parliamentary system used before the 2017 constitutional changes. Ecevit held the office across four separate terms between 1974 and 2002.
