Bumin Qaghan

Bumin Qaghan founded the First Turkic Khaganate and became its first khagan in 552, establishing Turkic rule across the Mongolian steppes.

First Turkic Khaganate: A Turkic empire founded in 552 that dominated much of Inner Asia until its division in 603. Bumin’s victory over the Rouran established this empire.
Rouran–Göktürk War: The conflict in which the Göktürks overthrew Rouran rule in the mid-sixth century. Bumin’s 552 victory in this struggle founded his khaganate.
