C. V. Raman

C. V. Raman was an Indian physicist who discovered the Raman effect, the inelastic scattering of light by matter, and received the 1930 Nobel Prize in Physics.

K. S. Krishnan: Kariamanickam Srinivasa Krishnan was an Indian physicist who collaborated with Raman on light scattering research. He worked with Raman during the experiments that established the Raman effect.
