Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament is a British movement founded in 1958 that campaigns for the abolition of nuclear weapons and opposition to their use.

Aldermaston Marches: Annual British anti-nuclear marches between London and the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston. The 1958 march became CND’s first major public demonstration.
Bertrand Russell: A British philosopher, mathematician, and peace activist who opposed nuclear weapons. Russell helped launch the Committee of 100, a direct-action group closely linked to CND.
