Carl Chun

Carl Chun (1852–1914) was a German zoologist whose research centered on cephalopods. He led the German deep-sea Valdivia expedition of 1898–1899.

Valdivia expedition: A German deep-sea research voyage that surveyed the Atlantic and Indian oceans in 1898–1899. Chun led this expedition, whose collections and observations became a landmark of deep-sea zoology.
