Carl Wieman

Carl Wieman is an American physicist and science educator who shared the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physics for producing Bose–Einstein condensates in dilute gases.

Eric Cornell: Eric Cornell is an American physicist who shared the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physics for creating a Bose–Einstein condensate. Cornell and Wieman led the University of Colorado team that produced the first dilute-gas condensate.
Bose–Einstein condensate: A state of matter in which many bosons occupy the same lowest-energy quantum state. Wieman’s group created this state in a dilute gas of rubidium atoms.
