Carole Lombard

Carole Lombard (1908–1942) was an American film actress celebrated for screwball comedy, especially My Man Godfrey and To Be or Not to Be.

My Man Godfrey: A 1936 screwball comedy starring William Powell as a social outcast hired as a butler by a wealthy family. Lombard’s performance as Irene Bullock became one of her defining comic roles.
