Catherine Helen Spence

Catherine Helen Spence (1825–1910) was a Scottish-born Australian author, teacher, journalist, and social reformer who campaigned for women’s suffrage and proportional representation.

Mary Lee: Mary Lee was an Irish-born Australian suffragist who organized for women’s voting rights in South Australia. Lee worked alongside Spence in South Australia’s campaign for women’s suffrage.
