Celebrity activism is public advocacy by entertainers and other well-known people who use their visibility to advance social, political, or humanitarian causes.

Agenda-setting theory: A theory explaining how media attention influences which issues people regard as important. Celebrity advocacy can elevate a cause by making it more visible in news and public conversation.
