Central Park

Central Park is a large public park in Manhattan, New York City, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. It opened in 1858.

Frederick Law Olmsted: Frederick Law Olmsted was an American landscape architect and journalist who co-designed Central Park with Calvert Vaux. Olmsted shaped the park’s design and later became its leading superintendent.
The Mall, Central Park: The Mall is a formal, tree-lined pedestrian promenade in the southern part of Central Park. Its straight allée contrasts with the park’s more naturalistic paths.
