Cercopithecinae

Cercopithecinae is a subfamily of Old World monkeys that includes guenons, baboons, macaques, and related genera. Its members are generally characterized by cheek pouches and a varied, often omnivorous diet.

Old World monkeys: A primate group native to Africa and Asia, comprising the superfamily Cercopithecoidea. Cercopithecinae is one of the two subfamilies within this broader monkey group.
