Chaim Herzog

Chaim Herzog (1918–1997) was an Israeli military officer, diplomat, lawyer, and politician who served as Israel’s sixth president from 1983 to 1993.

Isaac Herzog: An Israeli politician who became Israel’s eleventh president in 2021 and is Chaim Herzog’s son. His son continued the family’s public role by becoming president decades later.
President of Israel: The Israeli head-of-state office, whose powers are chiefly ceremonial and constitutional. This office defined Herzog’s decade as president and the public role of his final career stage.
