Charles IX of Sweden

Charles IX was king of Sweden from 1604 to 1611, after defeating his nephew Sigismund in a struggle over the Swedish crown.

Gustav I of Sweden: King of Sweden from 1523 to 1560, Gustav I founded the Vasa dynasty and established hereditary monarchy. Charles was Gustav’s youngest son and inherited a kingdom transformed by his father.
