Charles Laughton

Charles Laughton (1899–1962) was an English actor and filmmaker known for his commanding screen performances and his sole feature film as director, The Night of the Hunter.

The Private Life of Henry VIII: A 1933 historical comedy-drama in which Charles Laughton portrayed Henry VIII. Laughton won the Academy Award for Best Actor for this performance.
