Chin Peng

Chin Peng (1924–2013) was a Malayan Communist Party leader who directed its armed insurgency against British and Malaysian rule from the 1940s through the 1980s.

Malayan Communist Party: A communist party founded in British Malaya that led an armed insurgency against colonial and Malaysian governments. Chin Peng became its secretary-general and directed its insurgency.
Malayan Emergency: The 1948–1960 armed conflict between communist insurgents and British-led forces in Malaya. Chin Peng led the insurgency during its best-known phase.
