Christine Ladd-Franklin

Christine Ladd-Franklin (1847–1930) was an American logician, mathematician, and psychologist who developed an evolutionary theory of color vision and challenged barriers to women’s academic careers.

Color vision: The visual system’s ability to distinguish objects by the wavelengths of light they reflect or emit. It was the central subject of Ladd-Franklin’s psychological research.
