Knowra Christopher Reeve Christopher Reeve Christopher Reeve (1952–2004) was an American actor and director best known for playing Superman in four films released from 1978 to 1987. After a 1995 spinal cord injury, he became a prominent advocate for disability rights and spinal cord research.
