Christopher Wren

Christopher Wren (1632–1723) was an English architect, astronomer, and mathematician. He designed St Paul’s Cathedral and oversaw the rebuilding of many churches in London after the Great Fire of 1666.

English Baroque: A dramatic architectural style that developed in England in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. Wren adapted Baroque forms to English buildings, especially St Paul’s Cathedral.
