Claude Louis Berthollet

Claude Louis Berthollet (1748–1822) was a French chemist whose work on chemical affinity, chlorine bleaching, and variable chemical composition shaped the development of chemistry.

Antoine Lavoisier: A French chemist who helped establish modern chemical nomenclature and the conservation of mass. Berthollet collaborated with Lavoisier on chemical nomenclature and the reform of chemistry.
