Clement of Ohrid

Clement of Ohrid was a medieval Bulgarian bishop, teacher, and writer who helped establish Slavic Christian learning through education, translation, and religious works.

Saints Cyril and Methodius: Byzantine brothers who devised a Slavic writing system and led the mission that began Slavic-language Christian teaching. Clement joined their mission and continued its work after their deaths.
