Cloris Leachman

Cloris Leachman (1926–2021) was an American actress and comedian whose work ranged from dramatic film roles to comic television characters, including Phyllis Lindstrom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Phyllis Lindstrom: A self-assured, status-conscious television character played by Cloris Leachman on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Phyllis. The character became Leachman’s signature television role and later headlined her own sitcom.
