Clydesdale horse

The Clydesdale is a large draft horse breed developed in Scotland’s Clyde Valley. It is known for its strength, feathered lower legs, and historic use in farm work and hauling.

Draft horse: A heavy horse bred primarily for pulling loads and performing strenuous work. Clydesdales belong to this class of powerful working horses.
Clyde Valley: The valley of the River Clyde in southern Scotland, including the region around Glasgow. The breed developed in this Scottish region.
Horse-drawn farming: Agriculture performed with horses pulling ploughs, carts, and other equipment. Clydesdales were bred for demanding farm labor.
