Colin Powell

Colin Powell was an American Army general and diplomat who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. secretary of state.

George H. W. Bush: George H. W. Bush was the 41st president of the United States, serving from 1989 to 1993. Bush appointed Powell chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1989.
