Complete streets are designed to provide safe, accessible travel for people walking, cycling, using transit, and driving, with features suited to the street’s context.

Road diet: A redesign that reallocates road space, often by reducing motor-vehicle lanes, to support other uses. Lane reallocation can make room for safer walking, cycling, or transit facilities.
