Connecticut

Connecticut is a U.S. state in southern New England, bordered by New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Long Island Sound. Its capital is Hartford.

Connecticut Colony: An English colony established in the Connecticut River valley that became one of the original thirteen states. Its colonial government and settlements formed the basis of the modern state.
Hartford: The capital city of Connecticut, located on the Connecticut River. Hartford is the seat of the state government and a major inland center.
