Corporate philanthropy

Corporate philanthropy is private giving by businesses or business owners to support public, charitable, or community purposes. It includes donations, grants, volunteering, and in-kind contributions.

Corporate giving: Transfers of money or other resources from businesses to nonprofit organizations and public causes. This broader practice includes the donations and grants that make up corporate philanthropy.
Corporate social responsibility: A business approach that considers a company's social and environmental effects alongside its economic activity. Philanthropy is one voluntary channel through which companies pursue social responsibility.
