Country blues

Country blues is a blues tradition centered on solo singing with guitar or other acoustic accompaniment. Its performers often adapted songs through improvisation and regional styles.

Fingerstyle guitar: A guitar technique in which fingers pluck strings independently rather than using a flat pick. Country blues guitarists use independent fingers to combine bass, chords, and melody.
Mississippi Delta blues: A regional blues style associated with the Mississippi Delta, often marked by raw vocals and guitar-led performance. It is one of country blues' best-known regional traditions.
Robert Johnson: An influential Mississippi blues singer and guitarist whose recordings were made in 1936 and 1937. His compact recordings became central models for later country blues musicians.
