Cricket is India’s most widely followed sport, played at local, domestic, and international levels. Its institutions, national teams, and major competitions shape a prominent part of Indian public life.

Board of Control for Cricket in India: The governing body that administers cricket in India and organizes major domestic competitions. It controls the national team and much of the sport’s domestic structure.
