Cunobelinus

Cunobelinus was a powerful king of the Catuvellauni in southeastern Britain during the early first century CE. Roman writers called him Cymbeline, and his coins document his rule and influence.

Catuvellauni: An Iron Age and Roman-period people whose territory lay in southeastern Britain, centered on the region around modern Hertfordshire. Cunobelinus ruled this people and expanded its power.
Adminius: A son of Cunobelinus who fled Britain to the Roman emperor Caligula around 40 CE. His defection gave Caligula a pretext for an intended invasion of Britain.
