Daegu

Daegu is a metropolitan city in southeastern South Korea. It is a major regional center historically associated with textiles and is among the country’s largest cities by population.

Gyeongsang Province: A historic southeastern Korean province, divided in 1896 into North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang. Daegu developed within this historic region and remains its largest urban center.

Donghwasa: A Buddhist temple on Mount Palgong near Daegu, with a history extending over a millennium. The temple anchors Daegu’s religious and cultural landscape in the surrounding mountains.
