Daniel De Leon

Daniel De Leon (1852–1914) was an American Marxist theorist, Socialist Labor Party leader, and labor organizer who helped found the Industrial Workers of the World.

Socialist Labor Party of America: A Marxist political party founded in the United States in 1876. De Leon led the party from 1890 and made it the center of his political work.
Marxism: A political and economic theory centered on class conflict, capitalism, and collective ownership of production. De Leon presented his strategy as an application of Marxist class analysis.
