Dark ride

A dark ride is an amusement ride that carries passengers through themed indoor scenes using scenery, controlled lighting, and effects. Its route may use track vehicles, boats, or other systems.

Omnimover: A continuous ride system whose vehicles rotate to face scenes while moving along a fixed path. Its rotating seats direct attention toward scenes without stopping the ride.
Pretzel ride: An early electrically powered dark ride, introduced in the United States in the 1920s, that carried cars through darkened scenes. Its compact layout and spooky scenes helped define the commercial dark ride.
