David Unaipon

David Unaipon (1872–1967) was a Ngarrindjeri inventor, writer, and preacher whose essays and public lectures challenged stereotypes about Aboriginal Australians.

William Cooper: William Cooper was a Yorta Yorta community leader who campaigned for Aboriginal rights in the 1930s. Cooper and Unaipon were prominent Aboriginal advocates who pressed for recognition through public life.
